Para ele, é preciso diferenciar uma provocação pontual de uma situação em que um participante passa a ser alvo recorrente de ridicularização.

“Existe uma diferença muito importante entre brincar com alguém e transformar alguém em objeto da brincadeira. A repetição pode produzir uma espécie de consenso grupal: ‘ele é o estranho’, ‘ele é aquele de quem podemos rir’”, afirma.
