O Santos está ativo no mercado de transferências em busca de reforçar seu elenco para o restante da temporada de 2026. Contando com a ajuda e pedidos de Neymar, o Santos anunciou recentemente a contratação do meio-campista Arthur Melo, ex-Grêmio, Juventus e Barcelona, e tem negociações avançadas para tirar Éverton Cebolinha do Flamengo. Nesta terça-feira (08/09), o clube também iniciou movimentos para tentar contratar Philippe Coutinho a pedido do camisa 10.
Além dos ex-jogadores da Seleção Brasileira, o Santos também contratou o lateral direito Rodinei, ex-Flamengo, que veio do Olympiacos, da Grécia, e o meio-campista Lima, do Fluminense, que veio por empréstimo até o fim de 2026.

Segundo o jornalista Venê Casagrande, a contratação de Éverton Cebolinha já está acerta e restam apenas detalhes burocráticos e exames médicos para oficializar a contratação. O meia Philippe Coutinho, que está fora de atividade desde fevereiro quando rescindiu seu contrato com o Vasco, é o único que ainda está em negociações, ainda sem um acerto.
